This Privacy Policy applies to all users who visit our website, including guests. "Personal Information" is information related to you which includes your name, address, contact number and email id. "Automatically Gathered Information" is the information collected when you visit our site.
By using the Website, you indicate that you understand, agree and consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this Website.
By providing us your information or making use of the facilities provided by the Website, you consent to the collection, storage, processing and transfer of your Personal and Non-Personal Information as specified in this Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, provided back to the website each time the visitor returns. Alleppey Houseboats uses cookies to identify and track visitors, their usage of the website, and their access preferences.
Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the website, with the drawback that certain features may not function properly without cookies.

Guests must make sure about all their belongings before disembarkation, as further claims will not be entertained.
Self-cooking is prohibited and guests will have no access to the kitchen. Custom food can be arranged at extra cost, settled directly to the boat crew before disembarkation.
Any damage caused to the houseboat due to carelessness of the guests, their children or wards must be compensated to the houseboat owner before disembarkation.
As a safety measure, guests must strictly adhere to the instructions of crew members while checking in, checking out, cruising, anchoring and docking.
Children’s responsibilities and safety are wholly vested upon parents during their stay on the boat.
We do not have any insurance policy — it is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure adequate insurance coverage. All luggage and personal property are at the guest’s risk at all times.

As per government regulations, Indian nationals must provide original proof of identity for the primary guest in each room, such as Driving Licence, Voter’s ID, Aadhaar card or passport, at check-in.
All foreign nationals are required to produce original passports and visa (and residential permits where applicable) at the time of check-in.

For a single child below 6 years old — complimentary stay & food with parents. Only one child permitted per room.
For a child above 6 and below 12 years — additional charge (Rs 500–Rs 1000) applicable; the child shares bed space with parents.
All children from the age of 12 years are treated as adults and will be charged (Rs.1000–2000) with extra bed, all meals and taxes.

Cancellation up to 30 days from the date of check-in: 10% of the total cost of the package.
Cancellation up to 10 days from the date of check-in: 25% of the total cost of the package.
Cancellation between 09–07 days from the date of check-in: 50% of the total cost of the package.
Cancellation within 06 days from check-in: No refund.
No refund in peak season between 20th December and 10th of January.
No refund for cancellations after the tour/service starts or is partially used.
In case of refund, bank charges and cancellation charges will be deducted from the advance.
All cancellations must be intimated through email: info@alleppeyhouseboats.com. Cancellations through WhatsApp, message or phone will not be accepted; the refund policy is effective from the date of receipt of this email.
All refunds will be processed within two weeks of receipt of e-mail.

Pictures, photos, graphic charts, texts and data published on the website may not be altered, transferred or reproduced without prior approval from Alleppey Houseboats. You may cite or refer to the information and make copies for your own non-commercial use.
All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Cochin courts only.
